Chocolate Chip Cookies RecipeBy Steve NubieChocolate chip cookies are a family classic and the cookie dough is easy to make using your bread machine. This recipe calls for the traditional semi-sweet chocolate chips and the optional addition of chopped walnuts. These cookies are finished in the oven on an ungreased baking the sheet. The amount of butter in the cookie dough compensates and the cookies won’t stick to the pan.Brownies RecipeBy Steve NubieEverybody loves brownies and your bread machine can make this recipe easier using the cookie dough setting to make the brownie batter, and the bread dough setting to make the chocolate frosting. Brownies are great any time of day and are a great winter treat especially when they’re served warm from the oven.Chickpea Flour Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieThis bread recipe uses a flour made from chickpeas. The great thing about chickpeas is not only the flavor but that fact that this flour is gluten free. You can find chickpea flour in high-end grocery stores and it’s usually in the specialty baking aisle.High Protein Whole Wheat Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieWhole wheat bread brings a great amount of protein, but this recipe takes it up a notch with the addition of soy milk and oat bran. It’s a power house, protein bread that goes great with any meal at any time of day. It’s easy to make in your bread machine from start to finish using the whole wheat cycle.Gluten Free Bagels RecipeBy Steve NubieThere are two critical components to this gluten free bagel recipe. One is the use of a gluten free all-purpose flour. The other is the addition of a sweetener like sugar, honey or malt syrup to the boiling water. These ingredients are sometimes added to the boiling water as well but that’s more of a grace-note rather than a necessary step. The addition of a sweet ingredient to the water makes the bagels a bit more chewy. Leavening is accomplished with yeast. The rising times vary from 20 to 30 minutes up to 12 hours.Gluten Free Pear Cake Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieA cake bread recipe is different than most bread recipes in the sense that it uses baking soda and/or baking powder in place of yeast. The result is a soft and moist cake that’s typically been defined by banana bread, zucchini bread and pumpkin bread. For me, I love pears but like banana bread you need exceptionally ripe pears. 3 pears are used with one peeled and shredded to be added to the batter, and a third to be peeled and sliced thinly to make a pear topping.Artichoke Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieThis recipe makes a terrific appetizer, but you may be surprised when you see how it’s made. The name implies the addition of artichokes to the dough, but it actually features an artichoke topping on French bread that’s then baked in the oven. You’ll have to make the French bread first and the recipe is below, and then make the artichoke topping and bake. It’s a little complicated but the taste is amazing. Gluten Free Banana Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieBanana bread is a classic breakfast bread that can also be served as a dessert or at tea-time with coffee or tea. What makes this recipe unique is that it’s gluten free. Gluten free breads can be a challenge because they don’t rise like most breads, but a cake bread like this banana bread is different. That’s because baking powder takes the place of yeast and the bread rises in the bread machine as it bakes. But that presents a question: does your bread machine have a dedicated gluten free setting and should you use it for a cake bread?Gluten Free AND Vegan Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieThis bread recipe is a double challenge. It requires both gluten free ingredients and vegan ingredients, but it’s surprisingly easy to make using your bread machine’s dough setting.Honey Mustard Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieThis is a yeast bread that is flavored with a honey mustard blend that is put both into the dough and mixed with an egg yolk for a golden yellow glaze on the top of the bread.Chocolate Babka Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieA classic Eastern European bread popular in Poland and Russia and your bread machine makes it easier. I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful taste of this bread, but you should know -it’s not a simple recipe. It requires some process steps that your bread machine can make simpler, but you have to be patient. Most of the time for this recipe requires time for various process steps for the starter and the dough to rise plus a final blending step done by hand. This recipe is also intended to be finished in the oven. Apricot Cake Bread RecipeBy Steve NubieApricots are a small, orange and flavorful fruit. Unfortunately, apricots are highly seasonal and can be one of the hardest fruits to find in a grocery store or market at certain times of the year. However, dried apricots work equally well when rehydrated and this recipe uses dried apricots. This bread is actually a batter or cake bread. Unlike yeast breads that start with a dough ball that is left to rise, batter breads start with a batter that looks like pancake batter. The standard indicator for a batter bread is the use of baking soda and/or baking powder in place of yeast. It’s also important to note that a batter or cake bread will not rise before baking. The bread rises in the pan towards the end of the baking cycle.
