A Vegan diet is very strict and highly disciplined. It is a diet composed largely of vegetables and grains and other foods like olive oil and sunflower seed oil derived from vegetables or grains. Vegans do not consume animal proteins of any sort. This is not just about omitting meat but milk, butter, eggs and all other dairy products. The good news is that it’s not hard to make a vegan pizza crust and pizza, but certain ingredients have been omitted from the standard pizza crust recipe. The vegan pizza recipe included here is a suggestion. You can top with any of your favorite vegan ingredients including a vegan cheese made from soy milk and soy powder. The Daiya® brand is the best for pizza because it melts nicely.

 2 tablespoons oil
 2 tablespoons sugar
 2 teaspoons salt
 4 1/2 cups bread flour
 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 Vegan 16-inch vegan pizza crust
 Tomato sauce
 2 teaspoons of oregano

5

Bake at 425° F. for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges of crust start to brown. Slice and serve
