Hawaiian Style Sweet Rolls Recipe

Contrary to its name, Hawaiian Style Sweet Rolls have Portuguese origins, Fieldworkers from Portugal agreed to emigrate to Hawaii during a, grape blight in Portugal that caused massive unemployment. They brought with them a sweet bread recipe that soon became very popular in Hawaii.

INGREDIENTS:
 11/3 cups milk
 4 tbsp. butter
 1 large eggs
 1/3 cup sugar
 1 tsp salt
 4 cups all-purpose flour
 2 tsps. active dry yeast
Glaze:
 1 egg
 2 tbsp. milk whisked into egg
DIRECTIONS:

Add ingredients to bread pan in order indicated and select Dough course. Remove after kneading cycle.

Shape into roll shapes and glaze with egg and milk mixture.

Bake at 375°F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned.
